Zackery Belanger is a designer, researcher, and consultant in acoustic architecture. He is increasingly obsessed with the postdigital era – combining analog and digital processes to their best result – and is driven to integrate acoustic performance into architectural design. Current work includes the development of new theoretical frameworks, the design and fabrication of innovative geometries and systems, the education of architects and the general public, and consultation on projects of all sizes. In 2013 he became the inaugural Researcher-in-Residence at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center [EMPAC]. His creative work branches into furniture design and electronic music production.
Lighting | Designer, Researcher, Consultant, Artist
Kate Sweater, MS, LC is the design principle of the lighting fixture studio Dwaal, and a founding member of the acoustics and lighting design collaborative Inter. Kate has been working in the field of lighting for over a decade, with experience in architectural lighting design, fixture design & engineering and lighting research into lighting technologies and human factors, in the United States and Europe. Kate holds a Master of Science in Architectural Sciences (Lighting) from the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelors of Fine Art (Furniture) from the Rhode Island School of Design.
